This poster featuring Untitled (2001) was produced in 2018, in conjunction with Cy Twombly: In Beauty it is finished, Drawings 1951–2008 at Gagosian, West 21st Street, New York. This was the first career-spanning exhibition of drawings and works on paper by Cy Twombly, and marked the completion of Cy Twombly: Catalogue Raisonné of Drawings, edited by Nicola Del Roscio.
Untitled is a quintessential example from Twombly’s final phase of works on paper, which—with materials such as oil stick and wax crayon—reveal, in their lyricism and sensuousness, what Twombly described as his “irresponsibility to gravity."Publisher: Gagosian
