This poster featuring Nicola’s Iris, Gaeta (1990) was produced in 2002, in conjunction with the exhibition Cy Twombly at Inverleith House, Edinburgh. The survey of sculptures, paintings, collages, drawings, prints, and photographs emphasized natural forms, in keeping with the unique context of the venue’s renowned botanical garden. Nicola’s Iris, Gaeta exemplifies the vivid colors and engagement with floral motifs that Twombly developed in his later decades.
