This high-quality and challenging 900-piece jigsaw puzzle features a reproduction of Takashi Murakami’s 108 Bonnō MURAKAMI.FLOWERS (2022). The 108 images form the basis of the artist’s Murakami.Flowers NFT project (2021–22), which consists of 11,664 images in total—an iterative combination of the 108 different backgrounds and flowers. The number 108 corresponds to the Buddhist principle of bonnō, or earthly temptations.
These 108 images were translated into paintings for the exhibition Takashi Murakami: An Arrow through History at Gagosian, 980 and 976 Madison Avenue, New York, and feature the flowers in various states, including “throbbing,” “shocked and dizzy,” or participating in activities such as drinking cola or playing baseball.
