Mark Grotjahn × DPS: 50 Kitchens #15 Skis
These striking limited-edition Kaizen 112 skis are the result of a collaboration between Mark Grotjahn—a passionate amateur skier—and Salt Lake City–based manufacturer DPS. The dynamic eye-catching design is based on a drawing from 50 Kitchens (2013–18), a set of radial geometric drawings by Grotjahn inspired by a “butterfly” composition that he developed to fit the dimensions of his kitchen wall. The skis, which were launched at Aspen Art Museum in February 2023, are handmade using DPS’s full carbon fiber Kaizen construction to create a more stable and damper ski, and they feature factory application of the Phantom Glide base treatment, which forever eliminates the need for waxing.
