Man Ray: Image a Deux Faces

Regular price Regular price $10,000

Man Ray’s Image a Deux Faces (Two-Faced Image) (1971) is a color lithograph printed by Mourlot, Paris, featuring a striking composition of two lovers’ lips merging to form a single pair. The print’s image and title repeat those of a 1959 oil painting by the artist, itself derived from his earlier photograph Le Baiser (1930). Throughout his career Man Ray addressed the concepts of love and desire, whether autobiographical, art historical, or fictional.
