Made on the occasion of the 2016 Summer Olympics hosted in Rio de Janeiro, this bold and euphoric screen print by Howard Hodgkin, created with twenty-two colors on Somerset white satin 300gsm paper, captures the green jungles, yellow sands, and blue seas of the Brazilian landscape. Since 1912, prints and posters have been commissioned by the British Olympic Association for each of the Olympic Games to celebrate the participation of Team GB. Road to Rio was produced by Counter Editions and the price of the print increases as the edition sells out.
