This poster featuring Be at the Table (2023) was produced in 2023, in conjunction with Derrick Adams: Come as You Are at Gagosian, Beverly Hills, the artist’s debut exhibition with the gallery. In pictorial vignettes centered on real and imagined figures enjoying moments of leisure, Adams combines the representation of lived experience with the aim of uplifting Black culture. Inspired by a Halloween costume worn by his aunt, Be at the Table merges the levity of a masquerade party with themes of equity and access.
