AMEN Picasso Candle: Amber
This candle belongs to a series produced by the French candle company AMEN in collaboration with Diana Widmaier-Ruiz-Picasso for the Musée Picasso Paris. Poured by hand in Grasse, the French capital of perfumery, each candle is made with natural vegetal wax, comes in carbon-negative mushroom packaging, and features a reusable porcelain jar emblazoned with an image of a different artwork by Picasso. “These four images represent my grandmother, Marie-Thérèse Walter,” Widmaier-Ruiz-Picasso elaborates. “Nu couche (1932), which translates to ‘lying down naked,’ is the sensuality of amber.”
