Writings on Cy Twombly
This book assembles more than forty texts on Cy Twombly’s work, spanning the period from 1951 to 2002, from acclaimed writers, critics, poets, and artists, such as Roland Barthes, Arthur C. Danto, Robert Rauschenberg, David Sylvester, Kirk Varnedoe, and many more. Presented chronologically, these writings seek to provide a deeper understanding of the artist. This signed deluxe edition was bound by hand in an edition of thirty—although only nineteen were ever made available for sale—and includes three woodcuts, each with the artist’s embossed stamp.
