Pablo Picasso: Lithographs
This comprehensive volume documents Pablo Picasso’s entire lithographic oeuvre—some 855 works—for the first time in full color. It is the first publication to list every printed sheet as an individual work, making it an essential reference. Most of the works are in the Huizinga collection at the Graphikmuseum Pablo Picasso in Münster, Germany, which was assembled over the course of more than three decades and incorporates rare test and state printings, numerous single specimens, and unpublished sheets.
In addition to 870 illustrations and accompanying information, the book includes an introduction by Erich Franz illuminating the artist’s innovative diversity, remarks on the Huizinga collection by Felix Reusse, and a concluding interview with printer Henri Deschamps by Ulrike Gauss that offers a compelling account of the process of creating the sheets.
