Katharina Grosse: It Wasn’t Us
Published by Hatje Cantz, this book documents the exhibition Katharina Grosse: It Wasn’t Us at the Hamburger Bahnhof–Museum für Gegenwart in Berlin. The artist created a new site-responsive work for the exhibition using acrylic, polystyrene, and bronze, transforming the historical hall and outdoor area behind the building and blurring the lines between painting, sculpture, and architecture. The bilingual (English/German) catalogue features an introduction by Udo Kittelmann and Gabriele Knapstein, as well as essays by Julia Eckert, Doris Kolesch, Martina Löw, Daniel Milnes, and Heather I. Sullivan. Additionally, together with the author Annika Reich, Grosse has written a text especially for the publication.
