Jonas Wood: Shelf Still Life
Shelf Still Life is a twenty-three-color lithograph and screen print that Jonas Wood produced with Cirrus Editions in 2018. Representing a range of decorated ceramics and a fruit bowl arrayed on shelves, the work exemplifies the artist’s experimental approach to printmaking. Wood combined screen printing and lithography, remarking that this use of multiple techniques involved “a lot of trial and error, deciding which components would be printed using lithography and seeing how those elements interact with the flat colors of the screenprinting.”
Sixty percent of the net proceeds from sales of this print will be donated to CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort), a crisis response organization that brings immediate relief and recovery to underserved communities across the globe, including in Ukraine, Haiti, India, Pakistan, and throughout the United States.
