Gagosian Quarterly: Winter 2024 Issue
The Winter 2024 issue of Gagosian Quarterly is now available, featuring Peter Doig’s Night Playground (1997–98) on the cover. Doig has curated The Street, an exhibition at Gagosian, New York, opening this month. In the magazine, he speaks with art historian Richard Shiff about a 1933 painting by Balthus of a surreal street scene that plays a central role in the show. The fourth installment of the Quarterly’s “Gagosian&” series delves into the world of dance. Elsewhere in the issue: Daria de Beauvais writes on time and memory in Kathleen Ryan’s sculptures, Michael Craig-Martin speaks about his retrospective at London’s Royal Academy with novelist Colm Tóibín, Alison McDonald interviews Ken Burns on his new documentary about Leonardo da Vinci, and much more.
