Gagosian Quarterly: Spring 2021 Issue
The Spring 2021 issue of Gagosian Quarterly features Gerhard Richter’s Helen (1963) on its cover. The painting, now in the collection of New York’s Museum of Modern Art, was part of a gift from UBS to the museum that was championed by Donald B. Marron—the subject of an in-depth profile by Jacoba Urist in this issue. Readers will also find a conversation between Richter and Hans Ulrich Obrist on the artist’s celebrated Cage paintings, and their presentation at Gagosian in Beverly Hills. Cleyvis Natera’s short story “Compass” kicks off the Quarterly’s 2021 fiction collaboration with PEN America; Nathaniel Mary Quinn and Gisele Castro speak about exalt, a New York nonprofit working with and advocating for court-involved youth; a new interview series, An Eye on the Market, launches in this issue; and much more.
