Albert Oehlen: New Paintings T-shirt
This T-shirt was produced on the occasion of the exhibition Albert Oehlen: New Paintings at Gagosian, Grosvenor Hill, London. The front of the vivid blue shirt features a reproduction of Oehlen’s painting Untitled (2023), a portrait of Vincent van Gogh, while the back displays a large graphic of the artist’s name and the exhibition’s title, date, and location. Van Gogh inspired several other works in New Paintings and is the subject of Oehlen’s film van G (2023), a collaboration with director Oliver Hirschbiegel that tracks the relationship between the Dutch Post-Impressionist and his models, offering insight into his sometimes misunderstood techniques.
