Glenn Brown: Etchings and Sculpture Notecard Set
This notecard set was produced on the occasion of the exhibition Glenn Brown: Etchings and Sculpture at Gagosian, Geneva. It includes ten blank folded notecards featuring etchings by Brown and envelopes, in a jacket case.
Taking portraits by Urs Graf, Lucian Freud, and Rembrandt as inspiration, Brown scans and digitally manipulates images, overlaying a number of them to produce a series of printing plates. The plates are printed in combination to create intricate, spectral compositions comprising up to fifteen different source images in layers upon layers of black ink.
