Gagosian Quarterly: Winter 2025 Issue
The Winter 2025 issue of Gagosian Quarterly is now available, featuring Jeff Koons’s Kissing Lovers (2016–25) on the cover. Ahead of his exhibition at the gallery in New York, Koons spoke to the Quarterly’s Alison McDonald about the processes, inspirations, and metaphysical underpinnings of his latest sculptures and paintings.
In this issue we also delve into the work of Joseph Cornell, Richard Diebenkorn, Richard Serra, Gertrude Stein, Mark Tansey, Tatiana Trouvé, and Christopher Wool, among other luminaries. Don Quaintance shares his insight into Marcel Duchamp’s time in California with particular attention to the Pasadena Art Museum’s 1963 retrospective devoted to the artist. A film section includes an interview with Harris Dickinson about his directorial debut, a report from this year’s Telluride Film Festival, and more.
Elsewhere in the Winter Quarterly, Fiona Duncan pens an illustrated essay on art-world novels, Ed Sanders answers Hans Ulrich Obrist’s questionnaire, Amie Corry celebrates punk singer Poly Styrene for our Game Changer series, and Catherine Lacey concludes her serial story.
