Gagosian Quarterly: Fall 2018 Issue
The Fall 2018 issue of Gagosian Quarterly features Nate Lowman’s Memory Quilt for a Large Ball (2017) on its cover. In this issue, the Quarterly continues to bring the stories of visionary artists directly to readers. Ed Ruscha considers the paintings of Thomas Cole, and Anselm Kiefer speaks about his exploration of the human condition through mythology and history, as well as Uraeus (2017–18), his first major public sculpture to be shown in the United States. The issue focuses on film with Harmony Korine and Emmanuel Burdeau, on poetry with Ellen Gallagher and Natasha Trethewey, and on the art of biography with Sir John Richardson and Jed Perl. Rounding out the contents are closer looks at the work of Jean-Michel Basquiat, Robert Therrien, Mary Weatherford, Taryn Simon, Albert Oehlen, and much more.
