Christo
This book on Christo features color and black-and-white photography of his Packages series, in which he wrapped ordinary objects in fabric and rope, as well as a series employing shop window draperies. It includes an introduction in English by David Bourdon and essays in French by Otto Hahn and Pierre Restany. The sculpture Dolly (1964)—which was included in the Gagosian Open exhibition Christo: Early Works at 4 Princelet Street, London, in 2023—is reproduced on the front cover. This copy is signed by the artist in orange crayon, probably in New York at the time of the installation of The Gates: Central Park, New York City, 1979–2005.
