Brice Marden
This book reproduces forty-eight works on paper by Brice Marden. Printed at actual size, these artworks were once contained in a workbook with which the artist traveled for over a decade. The drawings encompass a wide range of styles, including monochromatic, grid-like compositions and others in which geometric substructure is connected and recomposed via looping skeins of colored ink. The individual drawings were presented in the exhibition Brice Marden: Morocco, which opened in February 2019 at the Musée Yves Saint Laurent, Marrakech, Morocco, and traveled to Gagosian, Paris.
