Y.Z. Kami created Blue Dome, an iteration of his Dome paintings, in 2016. It recalls the concentric forms the artist saw in Persian architecture as a teenager, and later observed in Byzantine churches and basilicas. For Kami, the dome inspires contemplation and is a metaphor for the heavens.
