Toiletpaper × Seletti: Porcelain Plate Gold Border
A collaboration between Toiletpaper Home and the Italian design brand Seletti, this collection of porcelain plates features darkly humorous images by Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari—the creative duo behind the picture-based magazine Toiletpaper, which they cocreated in 2010. Cattelan and Ferrari fuse the vernacular of commercial image-making with Surrealist wit. The imagery on the plates includes five hands holding scarlet lipsticks, spaghetti, multicolored snakes, punctured lilies, a nailed-down breakfast, and an open mouth with “SHIT” written on the teeth.
