Ed Ruscha: Busted Glass
This book was published on the occasion of Ed Ruscha: Busted Glass at Gagosian, Davies Street, London. The exhibition featured a series of small drawings by Ruscha depicting panes of glass that are cracked, broken, or in shards, each piece defined through subtle modulations of light and shade. These images are consistent with Ruscha’s frequent use of the window as metaphor and seem to participate in their own destruction, juxtaposing the fault lines of the glass with its fugitive materiality. The catalogue reproduces the exhibition’s thirty-seven works in color.
