Carsten Höller: Y
This book was published on the occasion of Carsten Höller: Y at Centro Botín in Santander, Spain. Curated by Vicente Todolí and Udo Kittelmann, Y marks Höller’s first show in Spain and the debut exhibition at the Centro Botín, designed by Renzo Piano. It featured new works alongside a selection of well-known projects, some restaged especially for the Centro Botín, including Elevator Bed (2010). Höller also created a new site-specific light installation for the surrounding Pereda Gardens, which is active from sunset to sunrise.
The bilingual (English/Spanish) catalogue includes a foreword by Benjamin Weil as well as individual conversations between Höller and each of the curators, both illustrated. With an oversize trim, the numerous double-page spread reproductions of the exhibition give readers an immersive look at the sixteen exhibited works.
