Bottega Veneta: Cassette Bag (Avocado)
With this leather cross-body bag from the pre-spring 2023 collection, Bottega Veneta reimagines its distinctive intrecciato technique of weaving leather, which the luxury fashion brand developed in the 1960s, with a plissé effect for the first time. Prior to the weaving process, the bag’s paper calf leather strips—called fettucce—are ruched, giving the piece added volume, a subtle shine, and a dynamic sense of “craft in motion.” The bag reflects the unique design perspective of Matthieu Blazy, creative director of the Milanese fashion house.
