Vera Lutter: Fragments of Time Past
This book was published on the occasion of the exhibition Vera Lutter: Fragments of Time Past at Gagosian, Athens. The presentation featured the artist’s photographs of Attica’s ancient architecture; the Greek temples of Paestum, Italy; and classical statues housed in New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The publication includes reproductions of the thirty-six exhibited works—some of which are featured on gatefolds—as well as an introduction by the artist and a new text by Jean Dykstra that details the inception of the project and Lutter’s creative process.
